AMPERNA
Dark amber/black pump bottle, black pump, white vertical label with a colour tab per product
⚠️ Nearest to Spanner's near-black. Dark bottle + spec label already exists in AU eczema care.
Click a pack to jump to its card. From each card, open the Obsidian profile or the real pack.
12 of the 21 Core packs are white (or cream) with a blue: QV, CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Cetaphil, Uriage, Aveeno, MooGoo, Curél, Aquaphor, Aestura, Graham's, Avène.
Any strong, dark colour stands out on this shelf. The white/blue look also reads as "medicated".
Tower 28 (all-orange spray), Yours Only (orange pump), Straand (orange cap), ABI AMÉ (vermilion tube) and Irritated (red wordmark). Tower 28 and Yours Only also put an eczema seal on the front.
Orange/red is crowded among the closest indies. The seals on the front tie into Decision B (approvals).
Near-black: AMPERNA's bottle. Oxblood/red: Carte Blanche's bottle (almost exact), 39BC's cap, LNG WKND's cherry-red mist, Supernova's plum tube. Sage: Salt & Stone and Saltair use frosted sage/sea-green bottles on the body-care shelf.
No one owns the full combination (oxblood + navy + sage + yellow). Compare side by side when the colours are final. Spanner's sage #BBCFCE is cooler and bluer than both sage bottles.
Spec-sheet mono type, a bold wordmark and car-part product names ("High Gear") on cream bottles.
The workshop idea needs to be clearly different from this. Include Dealbodies in every naming check.
SIDIA (spray body serum), d'alba (360° mist serum), Saltair (leave-on body sprays), Dolce Glow (360° BOV can), LNG WKND (continuous-mist trigger), beecee (face + body mist) and Ontu (body mist) all spray onto the body.
The spray alone isn't the difference. Of the sprays found, none combines eczema-first, fragrance-free, barrier lipids and a BOV can.
Sundae (chocolate-brown), Dolce Glow (bronze) and Gem (pink) all use coloured cans, for body wash, self-tan and deodorant. The skincare cans (Avène, Aquaphor) are white.
The first board said "no coloured can in body care"; that's corrected. The narrower gap, a coloured can for a leave-on eczema body serum, still holds.
NZ sensitive-skin brand in 205 Priceline stores since May 2026 (cream pump, green wordmark). It uses lavender oil and "treatment" wording.
A real AU competitor for the sensitive-skin shopper. Spanner's edge: fragrance- and essential-oil-free, careful cosmetic claims.
Who the AU eczema-prone customer chooses between.

Dark amber/black pump bottle, black pump, white vertical label with a colour tab per product
⚠️ Nearest to Spanner's near-black. Dark bottle + spec label already exists in AU eczema care.

Saturated orange pump bottle, white pump, huge lowercase product name; Eczema Association of Australasia badge
Orange + an eczema-association seal on the front. Borrow: the 1 L size idea for P3.

All-orange slim mist bottle and sprayer, vertical white wordmark; NEA, rosacea and psoriasis seals
Refuses the patient look. Avoid its candy palette; borrow the no-carton, refill-jumbo ethos.

White pump bottle with a royal-blue lower band, white pump
The AU default look. Avoid white + blue. Borrow the ophthalmic-tip tube for P2.

White pump bottle, blue pump, white CeraVe logo on a blue block
Avoid: the entire look. Everything Spanner is not.

White pump bottle, blue pump head, blue logo block
Borrow the narrow nozzle + small cap for P2. Avoid everything visual.

Cream-white pump bottle, pale periwinkle pump, blue type, oat illustration; "eczema prone" on pack
Botanical-oat pharmacy look. Avoid. (Catalogue said purple accent: it's periwinkle blue.)

White pump bottle, blue oval logo, red "eczema prone" band
Names the condition on pack (therapeutic route). Avoid the look.

White pump bottle with blue type and band; the oil is yellow in a clear bottle with a blue pump
French thermal-water pharmacy look. Avoid.
White pump bottle, slate-blue label band, cow icon
Founder-origin icon on pack. Avoid farm-cute.

White cylinder mist, periwinkle lower wrap, clear overcap
Proves a milky cream can mist: P1's function benchmark. Avoid the look.
The formula and format bars for P1.

White pump bottle, white pump, black serif type-only label
Closest palette cousin (sage). Borrow the front/back info split; oxblood + yellow keep Spanner apart.

White aerosol can, clear mint cap, navy type
Avoid the look; study the aerosol as a format.

White aerosol can, navy cap and wordmark; sprays upside down
The other format twin. Clogging is the top complaint: a warning for P1's BOV.

Putty/off-white tube, dark vertical wordmark; NEA + psoriasis-foundation seals
"Utility" is Spanner's word too. Prequel is cool and clinical; Spanner needs warmth.

Pale-green tube and cap, black CODEX LABS wordmark; NEA seal
Airless supports a low-preservative story (P2/P3). Colour not checked.
Who sits next to Spanner in store, and the closest brand world.

Butter-yellow rounded bottles and tubes, cream packaging world
Proves premium AU body care at MECCA. Yellow is close to Spanner's accent yellow.

Soft lilac squeeze tube, flat cap, condensed wordmark; range in lilac, plum and teal
⚠️ One of its tubes is plum, next door to Spanner's oxblood. Watch this when colours are final.

Cream round-shoulder bottle, bold green wordmark, monospace spec text, car-part product names
⚠️ Closest brand world: spec-sheet type + automotive names. Naming checks must include it.
The eye-area benchmarks.

White tube, blue type, blue speckle carton (the baby range is yellow)
Natural-remedy look. Avoid. (Catalogue said white + yellow: the eczema range is white + blue.)

White aerosol can, blue type, protective cap
The skincare-can archetype. Borrow the can + "sealed = clean"; avoid white + blue at all costs.
Short-note brands, checked quarterly.

Pale-blue tube, navy type, red accent; AUST L listed
The pharmacy eyelid product P2 would sit beside. Avoid.

Pink square bottle, green vertical wordmark, NEA seal; pastel pink/lilac range
⚠️ NEA-sealed body lotion at A$0.06/ml (Space NK AU): the cheapest sealed body moisturiser P1 will be compared with.

White jar, yellow lid (finger-dip)
P2 gap: a 'sensitive' eye cream with fragrance and Yellow 5 in a jar.

Burgundy mist bottle, white lowercase wordmark; range in burgundy and blush pink
⚠️ Burgundy body mist, close to Spanner's oxblood. Check side by side when colours are final.

White cylinder bottle, red vertical wordmark; red, cheeky brand world (chilli, martinis)
The closest product (face + body eczema serum), now with a bold red look. Watch it.

White flip-top bottle, green wordmark in an oat roundel, lilac eczema band
AU colloidal-oat pharmacy look. Avoid.

White bottle with white sprayer, black lowercase type, honey-yellow strip
Plain DTC eczema look; honey is the only brand cue.

Acid-lime carton, chunky green type, patch sachets
Loud, lab-coded patch brand. P4 is out of the range for now.

White tube with a pale-blue top and blue wordmark
K-beauty 3-ceramide benchmark.

White tube with a bright-blue top and red band (= Dermal Therapy in AU)
P2 pharmacy eyelid product.

Frosted pale-blue pump bottle, white pump, white label
Mass price floor for body serum (~US$23 / 414 ml); urea can sting flaring skin.

All-black trigger-spray bottle, white serif wordmark
A spray body serum sold on the spray, but fragranced. Spanner's version is fragrance-free.

Frosted glass airless bottle with a warm gold tint, stacked white wordmark
Clinical and derm-founded, still covetable. Eye cream planned for 2027 (P2 watch).

Amber glass jar, black lid, white label with serif type
Parent story + 5-ingredient list build trust fast.

Dark green bottle, stacked pink cap, neon-green wordmark
Bold, playful derm brand; benchmark its checkable claims.

Mint spray bottle; the brand also makes mint-and-chrome cooling devices
⚠️ A no-touch, NEA-sealed hypochlorous body mist next to P1; it doesn't moisturise, so P1 can own 'the spray that also hydrates'.

Vermilion tube and carton, white vertical type
One-step unscented body serum + lotion proves demand for P1's idea.

Dark-green bottle, white pump (NEA seal printed as the subtitle)
NEA Seal on a single-ingredient squalane oil.

Small white spray bottle, red wordmark, blue band
Closest big-brand version of P1's job; AU availability now doubtful.

Clear pump bottle, coral label with the % of each ingredient
Price floor for fragrance-free body serum.

Clear mist bottle showing pale-gold serum, gold cap
Spray-serum habit at mass scale; put a 360° nozzle in the P1 brief.

White cylinder mist, small red wordmark (Gregg Renfrew's new brand)
💡 Close watch for inspo (Talia). Fragrance-free face + body mist, ~A$0.40/ml: P1's price anchor; its FAQ says it doesn't replace moisturiser.

Cream pump bottle, dark-green wordmark
⚠️ In 205 Priceline stores since May 2026: on Spanner's AU shelf. Uses lavender oil.

Amber glass jar, black lid, white serif wordmark
Creator-founder built in public; refills. Playbook only.

Cream pebble compact with a chrome cap
A whole world built around one trigger moment (sweat).

Deep oxblood glass bottle, small light type
⚠️ Uses almost exactly Spanner's oxblood. Face makeup (drop suggested).

Lime-green cylinder, blue cap
Scalp haircare, no eczema angle (drop suggested).

Butter-yellow jar; pastel haircare range
Briogeo founder's self-funded DTC-first launch.

Pistachio-green capsule pump; the range mixes pistachio packs with green and silver chrome
⚠️ Warm pistachio + chrome: Talia's range-shelf reference and the 'reaper actives' sage lookalike. Spanner's sage is cooler.

Dusty-teal airless pump with a vertical white wordmark and numbered routine steps; acne range in pale blue
Anti-staph enzyme (TPZ-01) sold as US OTC; its spray only hydrates, so P1's 'spray that hydrates and seals' gap holds.

Clear bottle showing pale-yellow cleanser, bright-blue pump, navy BIODERMA wordmark with a blue arc, French + English text printed straight on the bottle
The 1 L shower 'oil' P3 sits beside at ~A$0.03/ml; it has fragrance and is really a mild surfactant gel with oil-derived esters. The fragrance-free sit-on oil gap is P3's.

Pale mint-sage soft tube that stands on its head: crimp at the top, a mint fine-mist pump under a clear overcap at the bottom; big navy vertical lowercase wordmark, "relief+" sub-range name
Talia likes this pack (3 Oct). An airless tube that mists: the tube collapses as you pump, so no air goes back in (sold as protecting the HOCl). Pump-by-pump, not continuous like P1's BOV. Its mint-sage sits near Spanner Sage, but greener.
Kept for one lesson each.

Clear bottle showing golden oil, gold cap, small cream label
Borrow: the alu forever bottle + refill for P3 Oil Change.

Round flat grey refillable compact with an engraved wordmark; toile-print boxes
$10M from one hero SKU. Refill compact = one iconic object.

Pink dome-lid 'dessert' tub; body washes come in whipped-cream cans
AU brand to 4,500 doors; the can as a playful object.

Amber glass jar, gold lid; refill pouch
Founder-owned to ~$150M, no VC; unscented twin SKUs; refill pouch.

White cylinder bottle and cap, gold vertical wordmark; the glycolic body spray is a white can
Continuous spray moving into body care: format validation.

Clear bottle showing golden oil, oxblood-red cap, black label; red illustrated boxes
⚠️ P3's format in luxury, and its red cap sits close to Spanner's oxblood.

Frosted clear cylinder mist, blush overcap, grey lowercase type
Facial-grade body care at US$18; a body mist (scented).

Slim white tube with a violet geometric label
A day/night eyelid system (ointment + cream) at ~A$19–25.

Mustard tube with a pink sunburst logo; bright, playful range
The best eczema brand voice, now an NEA-sealed US OTC cream.

Brushed-aluminium bottle and cap; the pistachio version is green
Closest texture to P1 (unscented, ~3% niacinamide, Dermatest atopic seal), but a capped bottle, not a spray.

Coral 360° continuous-spray can
P1's exact format in AU (A$44/177 ml), with an acne formula eczema-prone skin can't use.

15 ml airless pump with clear overcap, white and royal blue; boxed
The only preservative-free eyelid cream in the set (airless), but a thin formula; the tear-film study is OPTASE's.

White tube, bright-orange cap and vertical wordmark
Rebranded a stigmatised skin problem with one bold colour, in AU pharmacy.

Baby-pink pump bottle, pink pump, script wordmark; the whole range is pink
Sprays are cheap and normal on AU shelves: P1 must explain why it's skincare, not scent.

Frosted pump bottle, black pump, small black type; colour changes by scent (sage, stone, blue)
⚠️ A frosted sage bottle on the Sephora AU body shelf. Every product there is fragranced.

Frosted sea-green pump bottle, huge white wordmark; also sells leave-on body sprays
⚠️ Sea-green close to Spanner's sage, and it already sells skincare body sprays.

Clear glass showing golden oil, white pump, teal wordmark; NEA Seal on the fragrance-free twin
A bestseller can get a fragrance-free NEA twin without changing the brand.
White cylinder, black lowercase wordmark; moss green inside the carton
Closest US match to P1's formula idea (3 ceramides), but in a pump.

White jar, black lid, black label band
Its sensitive eye cream says 'do not apply to the eyelid': P2's gap.

Mint tube, round DIEUX monogram; carries the NEA Seal
A barrier cream with the NEA Seal in a soft mint tube; 'Rituals, not miracles' voice.

Deep-green carton, cream sachets, white type; NPF seal
A condition seal gives a tiny founder brand instant credibility.

Cherry-red continuous-mist trigger bottle, cream trigger, palm-tree motif
⚠️ Deep red near oxblood, and a non-BOV continuous mist worth costing for P1.

Amber oil in a pump bottle
Small trial events and a 200-bottle first batch.

Bronze/taupe BOV can, sprays 360° and upside down
Format reference (Talia): a 360° BOV body mist at Sephora/Ulta proves P1's format in body care.

Butter-cream jars, tubes and bottles with black caps; every product numbered like a part (1.1 cleanser, 2.2 serum, 3.1 moisturiser)
⚠️ Garage campaign + part-number labels sit close to Spanner's workshop + plate-numbering ideas. Keep 'maintenance / pit stop' out of Spanner copy.
Brand-world references (they live in Inspo, not scored as competitors).

Cream can, blue script wordmark and palm, yellow actuator; 80s ad styling
Period pastiche played straight: the proof a 40s–60s workshop system can be premium.

Sky-blue rounded pack, orange-red vertical wordmark
Packaging that breaks category colours + one named proof point.

Translucent aqua serum bottle with overcap, blue vertical wordmark; each product its own bright colour
Barrier-led line at Sephora US; the 'very online' brand world is the lesson.

Cream bottle with an orange-red ball cap, brown wordmark
Brand-world reference.
Not on the Master List. Here only for their packaging lesson.
Tall amber bottle, cream paper label, black type
Borrow: one bottle, one label system. Avoid amber apothecary.
White packs, cream label, dense black type
Borrow: dense "spec label" typography.
Crimp aluminium tube, signature blue, sugarcane carton
Borrow: the alu tube as the icon.
